Anita Langham Art is committed to complying with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This Privacy Notice sets out when personal data is collected, how it is used, the limited circumstances under which it may be disclosed to others, and also how the data is kept secure and the period of retention.

What information is collected and used, and why
Client information is collected or used to provide services and goods, including delivery, and will only be used for core business purposes. These include supply of goods and art-related services, providing quotes, invoicing, contact management, legally required records and notifying of business updates. This data is not used for any marketing purposes.
The following client information is collected or used for the operation of customer accounts and guarantees: names and contact details, addresses, purchase or account history, payment details (including card or bank information for transfers and direct debits), purchase history, account information (including registration details).
The following client information is collected or used to comply with legal requirements: financial transaction information.
Lawful basis
The lawful basis for collecting or using personal information to provide services and goods and for the operation of customer accounts is the performance of a contract.
The lawful basis for collecting or using personal information for legal requirements is legal obligation.
How long will your information be kept?
Personal data will be retained for the duration of the business relationship only, or for the length of time stipulated for compliance with legal and tax obligations (seven years). Information relating to quotes may be kept for up to six months. Email communications will be deleted six years after last contact.
How will your information be stored?
All possible precautionary measures are taken to guarantee the security of your personal data, including anti-virus software, firewalls, periodic back-up of personal data and secure storage of the copy, encryption and password-protection, and safe storage of any hard copies made and retention only for as long as necessary.
Who will your data be shared with?
Your data will not be shared with third parties other than:
• for core business processes (email, accounting, secure backup, etc.);
• for protecting your vital interests or those of another person;
• for conducting legal proceedings, obtaining legal advice or defending any legal rights;
• as required by law.
Any third-party platforms used to process your data will be GDPR compliant and subject to strict confidentiality. Your data will not be shared for marketing purposes.
Personal data may be shared with third parties at your request or with your prior written consent. Requests for such permission shall only be made where it can reasonably be assumed that sharing such information would be in your interest or occasionally for reference requests.

Visitors to the website of Anita Langham Art are not obliged to provide personal data.

When you use the contact form on the website, you will be asked to provide your name and email address. These will only be used to deal with your enquiry. They will be deleted once the enquiry is dealt with (or after six months in the case of quotes), unless this results in a work contract between you and Anita Langham Art, in which case your data will be held, processed and stored as above (see Data collected and used for business purposes).
